Tuesday, April 5, 8:00 Carmen is asleep (?) on the sofa after a lovely meal provided by Juana Beltrán who joins me in an extended performance, Carmen eventually wakes up and joins in. We’re perhaps winding down when Mat Robb walks in, so that sparks us up again. Finally we have finished and are just basking in the after glow when four women walk in apparently knowing each other, asking us questions. This slowly stimulates us into action yet again. A little later two of the women depart, leaving the other two younger ones (apparently they don’t know each other!). The look on their faces is magnificent, a little shocked, very intrigued by what we are doing. I invite them to sit on the couch and they stay for some time as we continue on. We all say goodbye no other words exchanged.

I acknowledge that I live and work within, and am a temporary custodian of land that belongs to the Wotjobaluk people. I pay respect and homage to Wotjobaluk elders past and present on behalf of all GAIP participants. We also acknowledge and pay our respects to the original inhabitants of the lands we pass through during our performance collaborations and do our utmost to care for these places.
